Now that your account is properly configured, let’s look at how VersaFleet can complement your daily workflow. Before you start creating jobs, you’ll need to understand some of the terms we use – Jobs and Tasks.
- A Job is defined as either the distribution or consolidation centre
- Delivery Job: The distribution centre for one pickup to many delivery points
- Pickup Job: The consolidation centre for many pickup tasks back to one delivery point
- Point-to-Point: One Pickup to one Delivery Point
- A Task is defined as an activity a driver is assigned to.
- Delivery Tasks: deliveries
- Pickup Tasks: returns / collection
